Dr. Joshua Huitt grew up in a small town in Middle Tennessee where his love of animals began.
He attended Berry College in Rome Georgia to earn his bachelor's degree in Animal Science. He then attended the Lincoln Memorial University's inaugural class of Veterinary Medicine to receive his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Dr. Huitt has worked with all types of animals, not only dogs and cats. He began his career in South Carolina at a mixed animal clinic where he could be found both in-office and visiting and assisting local area farmers. After three years working in South Carolina, Dr. Huitt relocated to Jacksonville and has been a part of our team since July 2022.
He enjoys performing soft tissue surgery and he is passionate about practicing excellent preventative medicine and internal medicine; after all, we can't ask our patients what the problem is, we have to identify it ourselves. In his time away from work, he enjoys paddle boarding, fishing, cooking, and watching college football (Rocky Top!). His two amazing dogs, Margo and Hallie, keep him on his toes and ready for a new adventure at the drop of a dime.
